GETTING READY TO FLY
There is much rawking and flapping going on in the ravens' nest atop the temporary tower. The baby ravens, now fledglings, are testing their wings and checking out their surroundings. Soon their flying lessons will start.
It's so fun watching them, and something I've looked forward to every spring since mama and papa raven flew into town some seven years ago and decided to settle on our water tower. The pictures I took of their first brood were what inspired me to write my children's picture book--The Water Tower Ravens.

ReplyDeleteWho would notice? Only a heart that appreciates even the simplest things! God bless and strengthen you. Thank you for this!
ReplyDeleteThat's fascinating that they have become annual Spring-time residents in the tower.
ReplyDeleteNew Life is always fun to watch.
