This photo was taken the day after the full moon. Disappointed at having missed it, I hoped it would still be as close to Mars as it had been the day before. It wasn't.
Mars (that little speck near the upper right corner of the image, facing you) was visible, but tiny. A sparkly dot that seemed red when I squinted my eyes, but I wasn't sure, so I took a couple of zoom shots to find out.
Wow, great shots. And it IS red!!!
