Word prompt--BREATHE
Five minutes to free write about it.
Without breath we cannot live, and yet for most of my life, being able to breathe was a blessing I took for granted. It took a very scary episode almost three years ago to make me realize how fortunate I was to never have had to struggle for my next breath.
Now I have become so aware of it, that the first thing I do every morning is thank God for the gift of a new day, and that I can see, hear, walk, talk, and BREATHE.
It is so easy to take breathing for granted until it becomes difficult. I need to be more thankful for this. Love your photo Loretta fmf #4 x
ReplyDeleteVisiting as your great-grampy FMF neighbor. Good, solid advice ... as usual. Have a blessed week and more breaths to come.
ReplyDeleteI'm really kinda glad that I
ReplyDeletecan breathe (well, more or less),
'cause if I don't I'll surely die,
and that would make a mess
of all the plans that I still have,
of all I could be giving
in words of verse that are a salve
to folks that now are living
through a hell that came to call,
this annus most horrbilis;
so I've set to do my all
in remindering that we bless
this world, however it is flawed
when we turn our hearts to God.
All can say is a hearty Amen! I followed you for Five Minute Friday.
ReplyDeleteBreath..hadn't really thought of this as a specific Thank You ...but yes I am very thankful I still have breath and Life.
ReplyDeleteGreat 5 minute post.

YES!!! My Mom had asthma and struggled to breathe often, so I am thankful for my ability to breathe freely!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it true how much we can take for granted...until it is gone or close to gone!!? Great reminder to be grateful every morning!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! We really often don't appreciate what we have till it's gone. I'm sure all of us can write a long list of those things we are missing now! Thanks for visiting my blog. Visiting you from #22
