Word prompt--ABSENCE
Five minutes to free write about it
------------------------------------------------------
Today I was really feeling the absence of my long-time prayer partner.
I've been trying to remind myself all day that seasons come and seasons go, and despite the best of intentions, people will sometimes disappoint us. God never will though. He has told us in His Word that He will never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8; Hebrews: 13:5).
I think He was reminding me of that today with the two Godwinks I just posted about in my previous post.
I love your posts. Please keep writing and posting.

ReplyDeleteSometimes it is so hard to let go of what was but God does give you GodWinks to help us through.

ReplyDeletePeople come and people go,
ReplyDeletejust as winter's born of summer,
just as night takes sunset glow,
and it really is a bummer
that change is like a rushing train
upon whose smooth steel tracks we're tied
and forced by fate to thus remain
in mourning for the ones who've died,
but soon enough it is our turn
to take that final curtain call,
and thus the question, thus the burn,
will folks say, 'Well, heck, that be all',
or will our absence leave a hole
deep within some unknown soul?
I can do resonate with this.

Hello! It is hard for me to understand why people do what they do, God has given us agency to act and do as we will, and hopefully your friend will return with a new desire to join you in prayer. I love the beautiful moon shot! Wasn't that an amazing moon?! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you are alone in that. People have disappointed me but there are many out there who do not. Have a wonderful week :)
ReplyDeleteYes, He will never leave us or forsake us. But we do need one another too - Blessings. Dawn #18
ReplyDeleteIt is so comforting to know that despite the disappointments of life, God will always be there for us no matter what.
ReplyDeleteGod has been so very good to us this week, even with the flooding downstairs. Little prayers answered and a big one too. So thankful.
