A LIFE COMPLETED

This post was written for Five Minute Friday
Word prompt--COMPLETE
Five minutes to free write about it

Today my heart aches for my daughter who had to put her beloved dog to sleep.

I'm having a hard time thinking of what to write for our weekly challenge so, instead, I've put together some pictures of favorite memories as a tribute to this sweet granddoggie, whose life came to its completion on this sad day.

If our FMF friend Andrew is correct, however--and I believe he is--we will see our pets again when we get to Heaven. The thought of Benji now free of all sickness and pain, frolicking on fields of green with his cousins and sisters who preceded him makes me happy.

  2. I am so sorry for your daughter and her family, what an extremely sad day for them. Having to put a dog to sleep is one of the saddest experiences I have ever had. I too believe that our dogs are waiting for us on the other side, and until they see us again, they are happy and watching over us...many blessing to all of you.

  5. I'm so sorry. Those fur babies become part of the family. My sister had to put her much loved little dog to sleep a few weeks ago.

  7. I've heard it said, "Whatever you long for in heaven will be granted." I don't know if it is scriptural, but I do know there will be no tears. So I think your pets could well be there!

    1. Our FMF friend, Andrew, posted about his trip to heaven a while back. Did you read it? He wrote that there were animals there--even mice.
